Grant Description
Grants and in-kind product donations to USA and Canada organizations to promote animal welfare. Funding is intended to support organizations that rehabilitate wildlife and provide long-term living arrangements for small animals. Eligible uses of funds include educational and outreach support, capital improvement support, and operating support.

Grant categories include:

  • Educational and Outreach Support: Educational and outreach programs, training materials, leaflets, and videos.
  • Capital Improvement Support: Renovations, additions, new structures, and equipment purchases.
  • Operating Support: Support to assist with normal operating expenses such as food, utilities, and veterinary care.

Rescue grants are limited to projects benefitting:

  • Small animals which utilize Oxbow’s product line. Qualifying species include rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, degus, sugar gliders, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, reptiles, tortoises, and others.
  • Wildlife
  • Companion Livestock: alpacas, llamas, goats, donkeys, miniature horses, and others

Eligible organizations include:
- Rescue organizations
- Foster networks
- Humane societies
- Wildlife rehabilitation organizations
- Animal sanctuaries
- Other specialty organizations
- Organizations within the US and Canada

501C3 status is not required for grant program eligibility.

Ineligible
Oxbow is unable to provide funding for spay/neuter surgeries, or any dog-specific or cat-specific projects.

Oxbow is unable to provide funding for equine-specific rescues or projects.

Pre-Application Information
Applications must be postmarked between June 1 and July 31, 2023.

Organizations are eligible to receive funding two out of every three years.
