Grants to Rhode Island nonprofit community-based organizations and government agencies for programs related to substance use and abuse at the local level. Funding is intended to support projects and initiatives that address the statewide drug overdose epidemic. Applicants must have experience in providing support, engagement, and services to affected populations.
Proposed projects must align with or build upon the priorities identified in the December 2020 Governor’s Task Force Addiction and Overdose Evidence Update, including:

The program anticipates funding five to seven awards to separate organizations during this mini-grant cycle.

The anticipated start date for project implementation is April 1, 2021.
