Grant to a USA nonprofit organization or entity for projects related to behavioral health services. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take up to six weeks to complete. Eligible projects focus on training programs for practitioners and the public. Programs will focus on educating about the importance of family supports and services and the integration of these services into mental and substance use disorder treatment programs. The Fam-CoE will also provide much needed resources and education directly for families.

Eligible applicants are domestic public and private nonprofit entities.

The funding restrictions for this project are as follows:
- No more than 8 percent of the total grant award for the budget period may be used for data collection, performance measurement, and performance assessment, including incentives for participating in the required data collection follow-up.
- The indirect cost rate may not exceed 8 percent of the grant award for the budget period. Even if an organization has an established indirect cost rate, under training grants, SAMHSA reimburses indirect costs at a fixed rate of 8 percent of modified total direct costs, exclusive of tuition and fees, expenditures for equipment, and sub-awards and contracts in excess of
$25,000.
- Any material, resources, training produced under this grant must be made available at no cost. The grantee will not be permitted to charge a fee for any material/content created using this grant funding

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by February 28, 2020. Applications must be submitted to and validated successfully by Grants.gov and eRA Commons no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the application due date.

All applicants are required to complete four (4) registration processes:
1. Dun & Bradstreet Data Universal Numbering System (to obtain a DUNS number);
2. System for Award Management (SAM);
3. Grants.gov; and
4. eRA Commons

Applicants must comply with E.O. 12372 if their state(s) participate(s). Review process recommendations from the State Single Point of Contact (SPOC) are due no later than 60 days after application deadline.

Applicants must send the PHSIS to appropriate state and local health agencies by the administrative deadline. Comments from the Single State Agency are due no later than 60 days after the application deadline.

After completing all required registration and application requirements, SAMHSA requires applicants to electronically submit using eRA ASSIST, Grants.gov Workspace or another system to system (S2S) provider. SAMHSA highly recommends that you submit your application 24-72 hours before the submission deadline. Many submission issues can be fixed within that time and you can attempt to re-submit.

SAMHSA will not accept paper applications except under very special circumstances. If you need special consideration, SAMHSA must approve the waiver of this requirement in advance. If you do not have the technology to apply online, or your physical location has no Internet connection, you may request a waiver of electronic submission. You must send a written request to the Division of Grant Review at least 15 calendar days before the application's due date.
