Grant Description
Grants to Rhode Island nonprofit organizations to preserve the judicial history of the state. Funding may be requested to preserve records and artifacts of the court system, disseminate historical works concerning the state’s legal history, provide public forums about the state’s constitutional and legal history, and preserve the history of the Rhode Island Supreme Court and the Rhode Island judicial system.


Additional Eligibility Criteria
Grants from this fund may support nonprofit organizations.

Funds may not be used for the purchase of equipment.

Pre-Application Information
Grants are awarded annually. The 2023 application deadline is midnight (EST) on June 5. Please note that technical assistance will not be available after 5 p.m. (EST).

Applications are available six weeks prior to the deadline.

Organizations should provide matching resources in funds or through in-kind services.
